Q&A: Blackberry 8800 software?

Question by Daniel: Blackberry 8800 software?
I purchased a brand new Blackberry 8800. I wanna put applications on it but don't i need some kind of program or software or something for my blackberry? I got a USB cord for my blackberry but when I plug it in nothing happens. What the heck do I do?

Also, does anyone know a good website to get some FREE Blackberry applications? Thanks guys.
