Need help with java programming?

Question by Gucky: Need help with java programming?
I'm trying to create a program that can allow me to manipulate different aspects of my blackberry phone, like create an application for it. I've watched quite a few tutorial videos but i don't see how its possible to do anything like that yet. Do i just need to watch the other 200 videos or should i not be using java? And if i do use java can i just get a very brief explanation of how it can all come together to form a phone application? It
