Google maps doesn't work on my Blackberry?

Question by Ryan Allen: Google maps doesn't function on my Blackberry?
Right after installing Google maps on my Blackberry 9300 curve, there is this pop-up message that keeps saying:

"Network Unavailable:This application calls for a data connection, and some Blackberry devices need reconfiguration to function correctly."

then the application closes.

How do i get Google maps to get to function on my phone?
